About the Symposium

The Symposium titled Turkish World of Folktales and Oğuz Tansel on His 100th Birthday , commemorating renowned Turkish poet and folklorist Oğuz Tansel on his 100th birthday,  shall be held on October 20-21, 2016, at Congressional Center of the Middle East Technical University Congressional Center. Only invited speakers shall be presenting their papers at this symposium organized jointly by Child and Youth Letters Research and Application Center of Ankara University and Department of Turkish of the Middle East Tecnical University.

32 participants from a multitude of universities,  taking part in the symposium that will last two days, shall present papers discussing various aspects of Oğuz Tansel.
